Daniel J. Nickel is Of Counsel with Carmen Patti Law Group, LLC where he focuses his practice primarily in the area of commercial litigation, business and employment law. His fields of experience include business-oriented litigation and disputes, employment, business formation, contracts, shareholder agreements, LLC’s, and creditor representation.
The hallmark of Mr. Nickel’s practice is to provide aggressive representation for businesses and individuals in contract disputes, commercial and employment matters. He has a results-oriented legal practice and strives to obtain solutions in an efficient and timely manner. Mr. Nickel also counsels business owners and managers in how to form their business entities, risk reduction, leases, contracts and employment matters. Before joining Carmen Patti Law Group, Mr. Nickel was an associate at the Chicago litigation firms of Arnold & Kadjan, Russel G. Winick & Associates and Gardiner Koch Weisberg. Mr. Nickel began his own law practice in 2007.
Mr. Nickel received his J.D. with honors from Chicago Kent Law School (IIT) in 2002, and a B.A. with highest honors from College of the Ozarks in 1994. In law school, he was admitted to Moot Court Honor Society and worked as an extern for U.S. District Court Judge Matthew Kennelly, Northern District of Illinois. He received the Ralph Brill Outstanding Brief Award, the CALI Award in Justice and the American Legal System, was a runner-up for best brief in the CBA Moot Court Competition and was chosen by faculty to write the bench brief for the Ilana D. Rovner Moot Court Competition. Mr. Nickel is admitted to practice in the state of Illinois and in federal court in the Northern District of Illinois.
