Donald D. Mondul is an attorney with Carmen Patti Law Group, LLC with an emphasis in patent prosecution and consulting in pursuing protection of one’s intellectual property. He has thirty years’ experience which has included preparing and prosecuting patent applications in a wide variety of electronic, electrical, and mechanical arts; infringement and validity studies; licensing; assisting in litigation; trademark practice; and management responsibilities. His technical areas of expertise include computer software, microprocessor and semiconductor integrated circuits, microprocessor controlled systems, semiconductor processing, computer hardware, electrical power systems, electronic keyboards, computer peripherals, flash memory, capacitors, electrical switches, electrosurgical electrodes, and telecommunications systems and equipment.
Mr. Mondul was a partner at Foley & Lardner and has practiced in several corporations including Square D Company, Illinois Tool Works, IBM and Ericsson Inc. He was General Patent Counsel at Ericsson overseeing all intellectual property matters for the company throughout the United States.
Mr. Mondul received his J.D. degree from John Marshall Law School in 1979, where he was a member of the Law Review; a B.S. in Physics from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland, graduating with merit; and an M.B.A. from Roosevelt University in Chicago Illinois, graduating with honors. He is licensed to practice in the States of Illinois, Florida and Texas, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
